Abstract text The sequential managed aquifer recharge technology, based on an artificial sequence of oxic-anoxic zonation to improve the efficiency of biodegradation processes along the soil passage, is tested in a highly controlled-engineering tank experiment. We aim the numerical characterization of hydraulic conditions and removal efficiency of trace organic compounds inside the tank before re-aeration.
