Abstract text Emerging Contaminants, especially, pharmaceutical and personal care products (PPCPs) are hardly removed from the conventional wastewater treatment plants and hence end up in environment causing ill effects. The goal of this work is to remove PPCPs from municipal wastewater using biochar, a low cost adsorbent, by conducting fixed-bed sorption experiments.
