Abstract text The aim of the presented paper is to contribute to solve the water reuse bottlenecks by Energy and nutrient recovery from the activated sludge wastewater treatment process by building the wastewater treatment plants with an integrative approach developed in biorefinery technologies, treating the wastewater but also recovering energy from the by-products such as grease or sludge.
