Abstract text To mitigate water scarcity in northeast Brazil, opportunities for water reuse were identified and a suitable technology was developed and tested considering local circumstances like existing waste water treatment and legislation. Post-treatment of the effluent of a stabilization pond via ultrafiltration was optimized and evaluated in terms of treatment efficiency and operational stability.
