The behaviour in the subsurface media of many trace organic compounds is subject to scale factors and environmental conditions. We aim to simulate such behaviour during the soil passage in an infiltration pond on Baumwerder island in Lake Tegel (Berlin). There, the basin was temporally fed with bank filtrate to enhance the trace organic compound removal within the framework of a research project.
